Responding and referring helps bridge individuals in need with the campus resources best equipped to support them. Whenever possible, use a “warm hand-off” by walking the person to the appropriate office, coordinating with the referral resource in advance, or assisting with scheduling an appointment. These intentional steps — grounded in collaboration across academic, health, and student affairs partners — help ensure timely, coordinated care and connect individuals directly to the support they need.
